Motor assembly lines

This electrical machinery application uses CC-Link IE TSN remote I/O to address field control, reliable communication and maintainable commissioning.

Motor assembly lines

Application requirements

I/O density, cycle time, motion or process requirements, field distances and maintenance needs are assessed together. This defines the requirements of the working system, not just individual products.

Solution architecture

The proposed architecture combines CC-Link IE TSN remote I/O with the machine’s existing control infrastructure and communication protocols. Final product and module selection depends on site requirements.

How can ProControl help?

ProControl can adapt the solution to local project requirements in Türkiye, from site assessment, I/O planning and protocol selection to panel layout, commissioning and after-sales support.

Technical details, tables and application images

The technical workflow and visual information from the manufacturer are presented below.

In recent years, driven by demand for advanced equipment, many high-tech motors have emerged: constant-torque Servo Motors that ensure high-precision positioning control and torque output; for AGV and RGV mobile equipment, low-voltage servos supplied with 24 V DC or 48 V DC combined with lithium batteries for long-duration operation; for long-distance, high-precision reciprocating motion, linear motors; for high-precision compact devices, DC brushed motors; for drones and children's electronic toys, compact motors; for new energy vehicles, integrated battery-and-drive axle control systems; and more. Unlike the three-phase asynchronous motors of the past, these motors all represent new technologies of a new era.

Application of SD Tech's CC-Link IE TSN remote I/O module in motor assembly

Motor automation production lines are assembled from a large number of standalone units, each equipped with an FX5U PLC and SD Tech's CC-Link IE TSN remote I/O module. The FX5U serves as the master; SD Tech's product lineup includes the TSN Coupler XB6-CT2002ST , the 32-channel Digital input module XB6-3200A , the 32-channel Digital output module XB6-0032A , and the 16-channel Digital input/output module XB6-1616A .

Note:

A. At the factory, the Rotary switch is set to "000" and the IP address is set to the Factory Default IP Address: 192.168.3.253.

B. When the Rotary switch is set to 0, 255, or higher than 255, the module's current IP address is either the IP address last changed via the host computer or the Factory Default IP Address.

C. The IP address set via the Rotary switch only takes effect after the module is powered off and on again; if the module is not restarted, the modified IP address will not take effect.
