Wireless connectivity

Four technical points that define the Wi-Fi Module

HMI compatibility, wireless coverage, network security and remote-access roles must be designed together.

01

IEEE 802.11 b/g/n

The official technical record lists IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless networking standards.

02

Compact clip-on body

The 40.5 × 55.95 × 27.5 mm, 26 g module installs on a compatible HMI.

03

Connection continuity

Automatic reconnection after network loss and offline transfer recovery are supported.

04

Cloud and remote access

Cloud 3.0, VNC, API, data monitoring and client alarm notifications can be used within one project.

Wireless architecture

Combine the HMI, facility network and user access in one security plan

Commissioning covers SSID, encryption, network segmentation, user permissions and remote-access policy as well as signal strength.

Facility use

Which network scenarios suit the Wi-Fi Module?

Validate wireless coverage and cybersecurity conditions at the actual site before commissioning.

Facility wireless monitoring

Compatible HMI data delivered to Cloud 3.0 through an approved facility Wi-Fi network.

Panels where cabling is difficult

Locations where approved wireless infrastructure can avoid a new Ethernet cable run.

Maintenance and service access

Controlled remote review through authorised VNC or application access.

Alarm and history tracking

Client notifications, monitoring and historical records used together in operations.

Technical FAQ

Answers to common selection questions

Short answers based on the official product and series records.

Which wireless standards are supported?

The official record specifies IEEE 802.11 b/g/n.

Which HMI models are compatible?

The module is intended for compatible Samkoon HMIs; confirm the exact model and hardware revision before quotation.

What happens to data after a network interruption?

Automatic reconnection and offline transfer recovery are supported; validate storage and synchronisation behaviour in the project test.

Should Wi-Fi carry local machine control?

Safety and real-time control should remain local; the module is a monitoring, data and authorised-access layer.
